Winter break part #2: in between the holidays...

Ready & done:

this year`s Christmas season is over, and last sunday we played our last rehearsal for 2013. Our friend Reinhard Kessler visited us with this camera equipment, these impressions will be used for the TV38-documentary that we were talking about lately.

We`re still busy with songwriting, topically there is an idea for a brilliant new song. 
Of course detailed instrumental-/solo-Parts are still missing, lyrics and vocals as well as a fitting song-title. But surely this one will be ready by our next live-show...whenever it`s going to happen in 2014.

Winter break part #1: what happened so far...

Here we are, drinking buckets full of coffee and looking forward the last rehearsal before Christmas. We just had proposals to play one show in Braunschweig at the beginning of february 2014, and further on at a small but kinda hammer festival in summer - but nothing is confirmed yet, and due to a forthcoming period where we have to get back into song-writing and studio work we did not leave the point of discussion about playing more live shows...first we have to do our work, and then it`s going to be fun!

The tv-documentary about SHOTGUN JUSTICE had to be delayed due to some technical problems that occured during our interview session. There will be another date for it at the beginning of 2014, and when everything is going well we`d be able to spread the news about the broadcasting/online streaming within the first two months of the new year.

on the first playlist you can hear 4 songs that were recorded during a live conert in late 2007 at the "Garage" Peine, second one contains 4 songs from our first demo CD (2005) that have been re-mastered in early 2011 under the title "FIRST KILLS".

Finally we`s like to say that we surely are going to play lots of shows in 2014, and we hope to visit new locations & cities that we have not played so far. Now we`ll have a longer "winter break" that we will pass with rehearsals, songwriting, maybe some more recording sessions in studio, and of course sending out as much demo material as possible.

...and hey, yeah: we`re just planning to get new merch for you, shirts a.s.o.!!

last info from end of october:

Here two pics of the artwork of our forthcoming demo-/single-CD "BLOOD AND FIRE" featuring the songs "BLOOD FOR BLOOD" and "BLESSED WITH FIRE" (so far about how to explain album title and cover artwork).

The CD will be "presented" at our next gig on SPLIT THE SUN festival (sat11/2) and can be bought at our merchandise stand. As purchase is limited to a certain quantity (it`s almost planned for PR, applications a.s.o.) this evening will be the only one to buy "BLOOD AND FIRE" seperately: afterwards it will be available exclusively as part of a 3-CD-bundle, together with two samplers that we participated with one song, "NRW Allstars" from 2011 and the brand-new release of metal sampler "STEEL HELD HIGH".

Little bonus: in both cases we will add a brand-hot sticker with topical motive to the CD-pockets...

STAY BLESSED WITH THE FIRE OF PASSION!!

Infos NOVEMBER

Erstes November-Woche, und schon gibt`s die ersten Highlights zu vermelden:

Zunächst einmal fand gestern das SPLIT THE SUN-Festival in der Sonne Stederdorf statt. SHOTGUN JUSTICE teilten sich die Bühne mit den Jungs von HEAVY POTTER, den Live-Dauerabräumern von ETECC und der veranstaltenden Band SPLITHAMMER und traten dabei als zweite Band des Abends auf die Bühne.

Die Show war ein voller Erfolg, das Publikum ging ab wie die berühmte Katze des vielzitierten Herrn Schmidt, auch wenn von der Mengenzahl der Anwesenden her sicherlich noch Luft nach oben war. Das tat der insgesamt begeisterten Stimmung und positiven Atmosphäre allerdings keinen Abbruch, und das Ganze fand kurz nach Mitternacht dann Abschluss in einer spontanen Jam-Session einiger beteiligten Musiker, die das Publikum mit einem letzten Song in die lauwarme Nacht verabschiedete...

Danke an dieser Stelle vor allem der klasse Orga und dem Einsatz der Jungs von SPLITHAMMER (genialer Auftritt übrigens, und Euer Song "Wardance" hat`s mir einfach angetan!!) - die übrigens auch eine neue CD am Start haben namens "BETWEEN STATIONS"...Leute, unbedingt kaufen!!

Dann gibt es als nächstes zu vermelden, dass auch SHOTGUN JUSTICE einen online-Store veröffentlicht haben: unter dem Link www.reverbnation.com...311376 kann man alle unsere bisherigen Machwerke als mp3 downloaden, aber es gibt dabei vor allem kurze Auszuüge der beiden Songs unserer neuen Demo-/Single-CD "BLOOD AND FIRE" zu hören. Also, einfach mal anklicken...

Abschließend ist noch zu erwähnen, dass der Termin für den nächsten Live-gig natürlich auch schon steht: das METAL THREESOME am 30.11. in der Garage Peine mit GOATS RISING und TIME TO BLEED...und natürlich UNS!!

Es kann also nur ein heißer Herbst werden...stay tuned & metal on!!

Demo-CD-release "BLOOD AND FIRE": Artwork

Hier also das Artwork der kommenden Demo-/Single-CD "BLOOD AND FIRE" mit den beiden Songs "BLOOD FOR BLOOD" und "BLESSED WITH FIRE" (was soweit natürlich Titel und Cover erklärt)...es wurde auf unserem Facebook-Account im Kleinformat vor ein paar Tagen ja schon mal gepostet, hier also in groß mit Vorder- und Rückseite. Alle wesentlichen Daten sind auf dem zwoten Pic (Rückseite) enthalten.

Wir werden die CD am Samstag auf dem SPLIT THE SUN "präsentieren" (die Songs spielen wir live ja schon `ne Weile), d.h. auch erstmalig & exklusiv am Merch-Stand feilbieten: da die Stückzahl nicht allzu hoch und vorwiegend für den Demo-Versand, Bewerbungen etc. vorgesehen ist, kommt nur eine exklusive Stückzahl der Scheibe in den freien Verkauf. Dabei kann die Scheibe ausschließlich am kommenden Samstag allein erworben werden, im Anschluss daran gibt`s das Ding nur noch im Bundle mit 2 anderen Scheiben (Sampler "NRW Allstars" von 2011 und der aktuelle Sampler "STEEL HELD HIGH", auf denen wir mit je 1 älterem Song vertreten sind).

Als kleine Bonus-Aktion ist aber in beiden Fällen ein brandheißer Aufkleber mit aktuellem Motiv mit in der Kartonstecktasche enthalten...in jedem Fall aber ein fettes Dankeschön an Johan de Jager fürs Artwork, thxx Mate!!

Hallo Shotgunners, Nietengürteltiere und sonstige Metalheads!!

Heute, an einem gemäßigt interessanten Samstag-Abend im Vorfeld eines brandheißen Herbst, der uns bevorsteht, eröffne ich diesen neuen SHOTGUN JUSTICE "Metalblog". Nach etlichen Neuerungen, die sich auf unseren Webpräsenzen - vor allem unserer Homepage - in den letzten Wochen ergeben haben, weiteren Band-Accounts auf diversen Plattformen, auf denen wir uns bislang noch nicht rumgetummelt hatten (u.a. Soundcloud oder Splitgigs), jetzt also auch noch ein neuer Blog...ob das gerade noch gefehlt hat? Wer weiß, vielleicht... 

In den nächsten Wochen wird sich einiges rund um SHOTGUN JUSTICE tun:
etliche Gigs, die im November anstehen, die Veröffentlichung einer neuen Demo-/Single-CD sowie weitere Merch-Artikel, die in Planung oder sogar bereits in Arbeit sind. Dabei wird es sicherlich etliches an interessanten Infos & News im Umfeld geben, seid gespannt!
